The best fifteen quid ever spent

There once was a man named Grzesiek Wieclaw,
Many men said he was a little bit TOO suave,
he told jonny king to get higher,
and go to a gig by CAT EMPIRE,
And luckily jon took advice from the slav.

Fifteen quid for tickets, went with marc and his uncle (used to be a very famous dj, Vasco, he used to work with/employ Pete tong and some other DJs you probably know...marillo ring a bell?) in a grand old opera house. Oh my god. Beautiful, almost rococo decor reverberating with coloured lights and the euphoric shouts of the crowd. Crazy dancing erupted spontaneously from the atmosphere that was so viscous and sticky with energy it was like swimming around in coca cola. I thought i would dissolve any minute. I bought a few pints under the name of Juan Manuel Trigo and was on my way, dancing madly in the centre of the crowd, bouncing around and going crazy. All very unbritish. Explains why half the audience were foreign. I even got to meet the band afterwards thanks to Marc's uncle and his connections (or connexions as Nat would say, seeing as he lives perpetually in the 19th century :P) . Marc's uncle was even norwegian, being nephew of Nils Skaar or something, some important judge. He didnt speak much norwegian, so we just swore at the people around us poleo style. Picture a posh bar in Bournemouth with two drunked spackers screaming "HORA FITTEKUKKTRYNNEHELVETE TRILLEBAAR" or similar at the barmaids. we nearly got forcibly removes by big spherical black bouncers. that's when you know its a good night. So in general an excellent night; the best live show i've ever seen and one of the best that an ex-globetrotting DJ has seen. Trust me, this band rocks. get the feeling the band would have taken more interest in me if i were female brazilian naked and horny, but then i guess that applies to many situations.

Then, today, i raced back here for my 1st ever day of work. Spent the day editing video, capturing video, adding covershots and placing transitions in a little stone barn in the middle of a forest. Surreal but cool. Now i'm £36 up which pays for my night out yesterday. ahhh sweet fiscal equilibrium....

Life is good.

Happy to know you had a high time with Mr. Morillo. Glad to know you had fun, do it more often - You wont do it when youre older(trust me).
